Hi, I’m Antonia Ghuman.

Neuroscientist & Clinical Naturopath
MNeuroSc | BHSc (Naturopathy)

I am a neuroscientist and clinical naturopath with a special interest in children’s health, neurodevelopment and nutrition.

My work brings together neuroscience, nutritional medicine and naturopathy to better understand the many factors that can influence how a child feels, functions, grows and develops.

Rather than looking at one symptom in isolation, I consider the whole child, including nutrition, gut health, immune function, nervous system regulation, sleep, development and lifestyle.

A whole-child approach

Children’s health is rarely straightforward. Behaviour, digestion, energy, immunity, sleep, nutrition and development can all influence one another.

My approach is individualised and evidence-informed. I aim to help families better understand their child’s health while providing practical strategies that can realistically fit into everyday family life.

Where appropriate, I may also consider existing pathology or further testing as part of building a more complete picture.

Why I created Neuromed

I created Neuromed to give families a space where children’s health could be viewed more broadly.

A place where brain health matters, but so do digestion, nutrition, immunity, sleep, movement, emotional wellbeing and the everyday realities of family life.

My goal is to help families feel more informed and supported while providing thoughtful, individualised care for growing minds and bodies.

Areas of special interest

I work with children and families across a broad range of health concerns, with particular interests in:

  • ADHD, autism and neurodevelopment

  • Behaviour and emotional regulation

  • PANS and PANDAS presentations

  • Gut and digestive health

  • Nutrition and nutrient adequacy

  • Fussy and selective eating

  • Immune health

  • Sleep and energy

  • Growth and development

  • Children’s sports nutrition

  • Nutrition for active and neurodivergent children

Growing brains and bodies

I have a particular interest in the connection between nutrition and the developing brain.

My postgraduate training in neuroscience allows me to bring an additional understanding of brain development, behaviour, cognition and nervous system function into my work with children.

Alongside neurodevelopmental care, I also support children with more general health and nutritional needs, including active children and young athletes who require adequate nutrition to support growth, recovery, energy and sporting participation.
