Casual / Part-Time Naturopath
Paediatric & Family Health | Neuromed
About Us:
Neuromed is a specialised children’s health clinic combining naturopathy, nutrition and neuroscience to provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care for children and their families.
We work with families across a broad range of children’s health concerns, including gut health, nutritional deficiencies, sleep, behaviour, neurodevelopment, immune health, mood and general wellbeing.
Our approach is thorough, practical and patient centred. We place a strong focus on understanding the individual child, reviewing pathology and functional testing where appropriate, and creating treatment plans that are realistic for families to implement.
As our clinic continues to grow, we are looking for another naturopath to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a warm, confident and clinically minded Naturopath to join Neuromed on a casual or part-time basis.
This role would suit a practitioner who genuinely enjoys working with children and families and wants to further develop their skills within paediatric naturopathy.
You will conduct consultations, review clinical information and test results, develop individualised treatment plans and work alongside our existing naturopathic and clinical team.
There is opportunity for the role and hours to grow over time for the right person.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Consultations: Conduct thorough naturopathic consultations with children and their families while providing a high standard of patient care.
Treatment Plans: Develop individualised treatment plans incorporating nutrition, lifestyle, nutritional supplementation and herbal medicine where appropriate.
Pathology & Functional Testing: Review pathology and functional testing and explain findings clearly to parents.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate consultation notes, treatment plans and patient records within Practice Better.
Patient Communication: Respond professionally to appropriate patient communication relating to existing treatment plans and clinic care.
Clinical Follow-Up: Review patient progress and adjust treatment plans within your scope of practice.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Neuromed team and participate in clinical discussions and team meetings.
Professional Development: Continue developing your knowledge of paediatric health, nutrition, functional testing and evidence-informed naturopathic practice.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy
Appropriate professional association membership
Current professional indemnity insurance
Strong understanding of nutritional medicine and herbal medicine
Skills & Experience:
Clinical experience as a practising naturopath is preferred
An interest or experience in paediatric health is highly regarded
Confidence conducting consultations and developing treatment plans independently
Comfortable interpreting standard pathology results
Experience with functional testing is an advantage
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to explain clinical information to parents in a clear and reassuring way
Excellent attention to detail and clinical record keeping
Comfortable working within an established clinic framework and treatment philosophy
Experience using Practice Better or similar practice-management software is helpful
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is kind, curious, reliable and genuinely passionate about helping children and families.
Why Join Neuromed?
Casual or Part-Time Employment: Flexible hours with the opportunity to increase your clinical load as the role develops.
Established Patient Base: Join a growing clinic with an established reputation in children’s health.
Clinical Support: Work alongside an experienced team rather than practising in isolation.
Mentoring: Ongoing clinical guidance and support with paediatric cases, pathology, functional testing and treatment planning.
Professional Development: Opportunities to continue building your knowledge and confidence within paediatric naturopathy.
Administration Support: Our team assists with bookings, clinic administration and patient management so you can focus on your clinical role.
Interesting Clinical Work: Work with a diverse range of paediatric presentations rather than seeing the same type of case every day.
Evidence-Informed Practice: Be part of a clinic that values current research, clinical reasoning and individualised care.
Growth Opportunities: As Neuromed continues to expand into broader children’s health and children’s sports nutrition, there will be opportunities to develop your own areas of interest within the clinic.
Supportive Team Environment: We want our practitioners to feel supported, valued and confident in the work they are doing.
About You:
You may already have experience working with children, or you may be a naturopath who has developed a strong interest in paediatric health and would love the opportunity to specialise further.
You enjoy learning, you are comfortable asking questions, and you take pride in producing thoughtful and thorough clinical work.
You understand that working with children also means working closely with parents, and you are able to communicate with warmth, professionalism and empathy.
You are organised, reliable and comfortable being part of a collaborative team.
The Role:
Employment: Casual or Part-Time
Hours: Negotiable based on availability and experience
Start Date: Negotiable
Clinic: Neuromed
Focus: Paediatric and family naturopathic care
If you are a passionate naturopath looking to build your experience in children’s health while working within a supportive and growing clinical team, we would love to hear from you.
How to Apply:
Please apply with your CV and a short cover letter telling us a little about yourself, your clinical experience and why you are interested in working with children and families.
Please note: AI-generated cover letters will not be accepted. We genuinely want to hear from you in your own words and get a feel for who you are, why this role interests you and what you would bring to our team.
